With more than three decades of advocacy and legislative experience, Bill Crowell is an experienced lawyer who represents clients on a host of issues before the legislature, executive branch and New York state governmental agencies.
Over the course of his career, Bill has advanced the policy agendas of a diverse group of corporate and association clients and has developed deep and substantive experience in a variety of industries including, gaming, financial services, insurance, health care, higher education, education, energy and real estate.
Bill counsels his clients on both proactive and defensive policy-based approaches that resolve problems and create opportunities at the intersection of business and government across numerous issues. A highly respected advocate in the state capital, Bill has been on the cutting edge of major policy decisions and legislative initiatives. With an impressive track record of legislative bill drafting, he has also participated in the enactment of hundreds of laws both during and following his time in government service.
Prior to joining the private sector at an Albany-based government affairs law firm, Bill worked for the New York State Senate for more than a decade, including serving as floor counsel to the state senate majority leader.
Bill had previously served on the board of the Albany County Airport Authority and currently is a board member of the New York Business Development Corporation. A member of the New York State Bar, he received his J.D. from Albany Law School and his B.A. from Fordham University.
